NKG2D/KLRK1 Recombinant Proteins, Flow Antibodies and Reference Antibodies

NKG2D, encoded by KLRK1 and also known as CD314, is an activating immune receptor expressed on NK cells, CD8+ T cells, and selected other cytotoxic lymphocytes. It recognizes stress-induced ligands including MICA, MICB, and ULBP-family proteins. These ligands are generally low on healthy cells but can be induced by viral infection, DNA damage, cellular stress, and malignant transformation. Ligand engagement activates DAP10-dependent signaling and promotes cytotoxic immune-cell responses, making the NKG2D-ligand axis an important mechanism of immune surveillance. Chronic or excessive ligand exposure, however, can lead to receptor downregulation and immune desensitization, creating additional complexity in therapeutic design.
