ALPP/PLAP Recombinant Proteins and Flow Antibodies

ALPP encodes placental alkaline phosphatase (PLAP), a GPI-anchored cell-surface alkaline phosphatase. Physiological expression is highly enriched in placental syncytiotrophoblasts and relatively limited across most adult somatic tissues, giving PLAP a developmentally restricted expression profile. Aberrant ALPP expression can occur in germ-cell tumors, gynecologic malignancies, and selected other solid tumors, where PLAP has long been used as a diagnostic marker and is increasingly being explored as a cell-surface therapeutic target. Its stable surface localization and potentially high antigen density in selected tumors make ALPP relevant to monoclonal antibodies, ADCs, multispecific molecules, and engineered cell therapies. Because alkaline-phosphatase family members share structural similarity, target specificity and family cross-reactivity are important considerations during antibody discovery.
