GPRC5C/RAIG3 recombinant proteins and antibodies

G protein-coupled receptor class C group 5 member C (GPRC5C), also called RAIG3, is a G protein-coupled receptor widely expressed in various tissues, including the lungs, stomach, and liver. GPRC5C plays a critical role in tumorigenesis, particularly in lung cancer, gastric cancer, and other malignancies, where it is highly expressed. The receptor regulates several biological processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration, which contribute to cancer progression, metastasis, and resistance to treatment.

Research on GPRC5C also suggests potential roles in immune responses and neurodegenerative diseases, adding to its therapeutic relevance. Due to its distinctive expression pattern in various tumors and diseases, GPRC5C has emerged as a promising drug target. It is particularly relevant in the fields of cancer immunotherapy and targeted therapy, and may become a key target for the next generation of therapies. Currently, drugs targeting GPRC5C are primarily being developed in two major areas: tumor immunotherapy and targeted treatment. These include anti-GPRC5C monoclonal antibodies, receptor agonists, and inhibitors. Leading biopharmaceutical companies, such as ImmunoGen in the United States and Novartis in Switzerland, have entered this field of drug development. ImmunoGen is developing an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) based on anti-GPRC5C antibodies, currently undergoing clinical trials to evaluate its efficacy in lung cancer and other tumors.

Additionally, Novartis is advancing preclinical research on a small molecule drug targeting GPRC5C, aiming to selectively inhibit the interactions between GPRC5C and its downstream signaling pathways, thereby blocking tumor cell proliferation and metastasis. As research into GPRC5C deepens, more pharmaceutical companies are expected to invest in this field, potentially leading to a range of new cancer treatment options in the future.

To assist in the development of drugs targeting GPRC5C, DIMA BIOTECH can now provide full-length GPRC5C recombinant membrane protein developed by its nanodisc membrane protein platform. GPRC5C nanodisc is an optimal solution for screening small molecules targeting GPRC5C with its natural structure. Furthermore, DIMA BIOTECH has also prepared a GPRC5C single B cell seed library, from which lead antibody molecules can be obtained in as fast as 28 days.
