KLRG1 Recombinant Proteins and Flow Antibodies

Killer Cell Lectin-Like Receptor G1 (KLRG1), also known as CLEC15A, is a C-type lectin-like immune receptor. Related receptors within the broader C-type lectin-like immune-receptor family include NKG2D, NKG2A, and CD94, which regulate NK- and T-cell activation through distinct ligand systems. KLRG1 is expressed on differentiated NK cells, effector T cells, and selected memory T-cell populations. It recognizes classical cadherins including E-cadherin/CDH1 and N-cadherin and contains an intracellular inhibitory motif capable of reducing immune-cell activation following ligand engagement. KLRG1 is widely used as a marker of differentiated or terminal effector populations, but increasing interest is focused on the biological functions of KLRG1-positive cells in chronic inflammation, autoimmunity, infection, and cancer. Its ligand E-cadherin belongs to the classical cadherin family and provides an important connection between immune regulation and tissue-cell adhesion.
