ACVR2B, or Activin A Receptor Type 2B, is another type II receptor of the TGF-β superfamily and interacts with multiple ligands, including myostatin, activins, and GDF11. Following ligand binding, ACVR2B recruits type I receptors and activates downstream SMAD2/3 signaling. This pathway plays a key role in skeletal muscle growth, development, tissue homeostasis, and metabolic regulation.
