CD4 Full-Length Nanodisc Protein, Multi-Species ECDs and Flow Antibodies

CD4 is a type I immunoglobulin-superfamily membrane glycoprotein containing four extracellular Ig-like domains, a single transmembrane segment, and a cytoplasmic tail. It is best known as a defining co-receptor on helper T cells but is also expressed on monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and selected other immune populations. CD4 interacts with MHC class II molecules and recruits the Src-family kinase LCK through its intracellular region, thereby strengthening T-cell receptor signaling following antigen recognition. CD4-positive T cells subsequently differentiate into multiple functional subsets, including Th1, Th2, Th17, Tfh, and regulatory T cells, placing CD4 at the center of infection, immune memory, autoimmunity, inflammation, and tumor immunity. CD4 is also an important membrane target in viral-entry, immune-cell modulation, depletion, and targeted-delivery research.
