CDH1/E-Cadherin Recombinant Proteins and Antibodies

CDH1, also known as E-Cadherin or Cadherin-1, is one of the best-characterized members of the classical cadherin family and a major calcium-dependent cell adhesion molecule. CDH1 is a single-pass transmembrane protein containing multiple extracellular cadherin domains that mediate homotypic interactions between adjacent epithelial cells. Its cytoplasmic region associates with catenins and the actin cytoskeleton, allowing E-Cadherin to play a central role in epithelial integrity, cell polarity, and tissue homeostasis. Reduced expression, mislocalization, or functional loss of CDH1 is a hallmark of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and is closely associated with decreased cell adhesion, increased migration, invasion, and tumor progression.
