ICOS/CD278 Recombinant Proteins, Antibodies and Stable Cell Lines

ICOS, also known as CD278 or AILIM, is an immune costimulatory receptor of the CD28 receptor family. Other major members of this broader regulatory family include CD28, CTLA-4, and PD-1, which collectively shape T-cell activation, costimulation, and immune tolerance. ICOS expression is low on resting naïve T cells but is rapidly induced following activation. Its ligand ICOSL/B7-H2/CD275 is primarily expressed by antigen-presenting cells. Engagement activates PI3K-dependent signaling and promotes T-cell proliferation, survival, and cytokine production. The pathway is especially important for T follicular helper-cell differentiation, germinal-center responses, B-cell help, humoral immunity, and selected regulatory T-cell functions. ICOS-ICOSL therefore operates within the same broader costimulatory network as CD28-B7 and CTLA-4-B7 signaling.
