ACVR2A Proteins, Antibodies & Stable Cell Lines

ACVR2A, or Activin A Receptor Type 2A, is a type II serine/threonine kinase receptor of the TGF-β superfamily. It binds several activin-family ligands, including Activin A and Activin B, and forms signaling complexes with type I receptors to activate downstream pathways such as SMAD2/3. ACVR2A-mediated signaling is involved in a broad range of biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, reproduction, tissue homeostasis, metabolism, and muscle regulation. Dysregulation of this pathway has also been studied in cancer, reproductive disorders, muscle-related conditions, and metabolic diseases. Because ACVR2A participates in a well-defined ligand-receptor signaling network, it is an attractive target for functional antibody discovery, ligand-blocking strategies, competitive binding studies, and receptor-pathway modulation.
