ADAM9 Recombinant Proteins and Flow Antibodies

ADAM9 (A distegrinin and a metalloprotease 9), also known as MDC9 or Meltrin-γ, is a single-pass transmembrane member of the A Disintegrin and Metalloprotease family. Its complex extracellular region includes a prodomain, metalloprotease domain, disintegrin domain, cysteine-rich region, and EGF-like domain. Through its catalytic and adhesive functions, ADAM9 can regulate proteolytic shedding of cell-surface proteins, interactions with integrins and the extracellular matrix, cell migration, invasion, proliferation, and tissue remodeling. Although ADAM9 is physiologically expressed in multiple tissues, elevated expression has been reported in a broad range of solid tumors and is associated with invasive and metastatic behavior.
