CD142/TF recombinant proteins and antibodies

Tissue factor (TF), also known as coagulation factor III or CD142, is constitutively expressed by vascular wall-related cells, including vascular smooth muscle cells, adventitial fibroblasts, and pericytes. TF plays a role in embryogenesis and is expressed in the embryo before factors VII and VIIa. Endothelial cells and macrophages generally do not express TF, but when they are exposed to pathological conditions such as inflammation, atherosclerosis, and cancer, TF is expressed on the cell surface. Tissue factor (TF) usually protects the vascular integrity of tissues by initiating the coagulation cascade after vascular injury and is the main initiator of the coagulation cascade. TF is highly expressed on the surface of many cancer cells and plays a role in cancer progression, cancer cell invasion and metastasis, and angiogenesis. Since TF is highly expressed in many tumors but not in endothelial cells lining the blood vessels of normal tissues, drugs targeting TF can be delivered to tumor cells without targeting normal tissue cells, making TF an ideal target for ADC drugs. Globally, there are currently few new drug projects under development targeting TF, and all of them are ADC drugs.
