CD38 Recombinant Proteins and Flow/IHC Antibodies

CD38 is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein with extracellular enzymatic activity and a major role in NAD+ metabolism and calcium signaling. It converts NAD+ into signaling metabolites including cyclic ADP-ribose and contributes to immune-cell activation, adhesion, metabolic regulation, and signal transduction. CD38 is highly expressed on plasma cells and can also be induced on activated lymphoid and myeloid populations. Elevated expression in plasma-cell and lymphoid malignancies has made CD38 an established cell-surface target for antibody-based research. Candidate molecules may be evaluated not only for cell binding and depletion but also for modulation of enzymatic activity, Fc-dependent function, and selectivity across different immune-cell populations.
