CEACAM6/CD66c Domain Proteins, Flow Antibodies and Stable Cell Lines

CEACAM6, also known as CD66c or NCA, is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored member of the carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule family. Its extracellular region consists of multiple immunoglobulin-like domains that mediate homotypic and heterotypic interactions and influence cell adhesion, migration, survival, and communication with the surrounding microenvironment. CEACAM6 is normally expressed on selected epithelial and myeloid populations but is frequently upregulated in pancreatic, colorectal, gastric, lung, breast, and other epithelial malignancies. High CEACAM6 expression has been associated with altered adhesion, invasion, metastasis, and therapeutic resistance. Because CEACAM family members share substantial sequence and structural homology, antibody specificity and domain recognition are particularly important during candidate discovery.
