In ovarian, lung, endometrial, and several other solid tumors, however, FOLR1 can become highly expressed and accessible on the tumor-cell surface. This combination of restricted normal-tissue accessibility, tumor overexpression, and receptor-mediated internalization has made FRα a major target for antibodies, ADCs, multispecific molecules, radiopharmaceuticals, and cell therapies.
