IL2RA/CD25 Recombinant Proteins and Flow Antibodies

IL2RA, also known as CD25, is the alpha chain of the high-affinity interleukin-2 receptor complex. IL2RA has a short intracellular region and primarily increases ligand capture, while association with IL2RB/CD122 and the common gamma chain/CD132 creates the high-affinity receptor capable of activating JAK/STAT, PI3K/AKT, and MAPK signaling. CD25 is constitutively expressed at high levels on regulatory T cells and is rapidly induced after activation of conventional T cells. It is therefore both a key component of IL-2 biology and a widely used marker of T-cell activation and Treg populations. Dysregulated IL-2/CD25 signaling is relevant to immune tolerance, autoimmunity, hematologic disease, and immune-modulatory biologic development.
