CD117/KIT Recombinant Proteins & Flow Antibodies

CD117, also known as KIT or c-KIT, is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase whose natural ligand is stem cell factor, or SCF. KIT is expressed in hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, mast cells, germ cells, and several other cell populations. Binding of SCF promotes KIT dimerization and phosphorylation, leading to activation of downstream pathways including PI3K/AKT, MAPK, and JAK/STAT. Through these pathways, KIT regulates cell survival, proliferation, migration, and differentiation. Abnormal KIT expression or activating mutations are associated with a range of hematologic and solid malignancies, making CD117 an important target in disease biology and therapeutic research. Beyond kinase inhibition, CD117 is also being investigated in antibody-based strategies, targeted cell depletion, hematopoietic conditioning, and other biologic approaches.
