CD40/TNFRSF5 Recombinant Proteins, Flow Antibodies and Reference Antibodies

CD40 (TNFRSF5) is a costimulatory receptor of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily expressed on B cells, dendritic cells, monocytes, macrophages, and selected non-hematopoietic cells. Its ligand CD40L/CD154 is induced primarily on activated CD4+ T cells. CD40-CD40L signaling connects T-cell activation with antigen-presenting-cell function and plays essential roles in B-cell proliferation, immunoglobulin class switching, germinal-center responses, dendritic-cell maturation, and T-cell priming. Because this pathway can both enhance antitumor immunity and drive pathogenic immune activation, CD40 is studied in oncology, autoimmunity, and inflammatory disease. Depending on the therapeutic goal, CD40 antibodies may be designed as agonists or blockers, making epitope, receptor clustering, and Fc properties important considerations.
