CD45/PTPRC Recombinant Proteins and Flow/IHC Antibodies

CD45, encoded by PTPRC and also known as the leukocyte common antigen, is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase expressed on virtually all nucleated hematopoietic cells. It belongs to the receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase family, which also includes molecules such as PTPRA, PTPRB, and PTPRJ. CD45 regulates the phosphorylation state of Src-family kinases including Lck and Lyn and thereby controls signaling thresholds downstream of T-cell and B-cell antigen receptors. Alternative splicing generates major isoforms including CD45RA, CD45RB, and CD45RO, whose differential expression is widely used to distinguish naïve, activated, and memory immune-cell populations. CD45 is therefore central to both immune signaling and immunophenotyping and is commonly studied alongside lineage markers such as CD3, CD4, CD7, CD19, and CD20.
