PD-1 Research Tools-Antibodies, Proteins & Stable Cell Lines

Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 (PD-1), is encoded by the PDCD1 gene and is also known as CD279. It is a classical inhibitory immune checkpoint molecule expressed on activated T cells, where it regulates T-cell activation, effector function, and immune tolerance. As such, PD-1 is one of the most important targets in tumor immunology and immune regulation research. Drug development targeting PD-1 has formed a landscape dominated by monoclonal antibodies, while bispecific antibodies continue to expand rapidly. There are currently 22 approved drugs targeting PD-1 worldwide, including 19 monoclonal antibodies and 3 bispecific antibodies, with more than 700 pipeline programs under development, mainly in oncology and cancer immunotherapy.
