B7-H5/VISTA/VSIR Recombinant Proteins and Flow Antibodies

B7-H5, more commonly known as VISTA and encoded by VSIR, is part of the broader B7-related immune-regulatory network. Other prominent members include B7-H2/ICOSLG, B7-H3/CD276, B7-H4/VTCN1, and PD-L1/CD274, which collectively regulate T-cell costimulation and inhibition through distinct receptor systems. Unlike several classical checkpoints that are predominantly induced on activated lymphocytes, VISTA is broadly expressed on myeloid cells, monocytes/macrophages, selected dendritic cells, and subsets of T cells. Its receptor-ligand biology is context dependent and can be influenced by features of the local microenvironment, including acidic conditions. VISTA can suppress T-cell activation and frequently operates alongside PD-1, TIGIT, TIM3, and other inhibitory pathways in tumors, making it an important next-generation checkpoint target.
