BAFF-R/TNFRSF13C Recombinant Proteins and Flow Antibodies

BAFF-R, encoded by TNFRSF13C and also known as CD268, is a TNF-receptor-superfamily member and a major receptor for B-cell activating factor (BAFF/TNFSF13B). BAFF-R expression is enriched on transitional and mature B cells, where BAFF signaling supports peripheral B-cell maturation, survival, and immune competence. Receptor activation strongly engages the non-canonical NF-κB pathway and helps determine the survival threshold of peripheral B cells. Excessive BAFF-BAFF-R signaling can therefore promote persistence of autoreactive B-cell populations and abnormal antibody responses, linking the pathway to systemic autoimmunity and B-cell-associated disease. BAFF-R expression can also be retained in selected B-cell malignancies, creating opportunities for direct antibody-based targeting.
