CCR2/CD192 recombinant proteins and antibodies
C-C chemokine receptor type 2 (CCR2), also known as CD192, CMKBR2 or MCP-1-R, is a G protein-coupled receptor belonging to the C-C chemokine receptor family, primarily involved in immune responses. CCR2 activates various downstream signaling pathways by binding to its ligand, monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1 ), promoting the recruitment and migration of immune cells. CCR2 is highly expressed in various immune cells, especially monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells, and plays a role in inflammatory responses, immune tolerance, and tissue repair. Studies have shown that CCR2 is implicated in the development of several diseases, including chronic inflammation, atherosclerosis, cancer, and autoimmune disorders, making it a promising therapeutic target, especially in inflammatory diseases and cancer immunotherapy.
In inflammatory diseases, CCR2 promotes the migration of monocytes to damaged tissues, thereby contributing to inflammation. Inhibiting CCR2 activity can reduce immune cell infiltration and alleviate diseases caused by chronic inflammation, such as rheumatoid arthritis and atherosclerosis. Furthermore, CCR2 plays a significant role in the tumor microenvironment, particularly in the recruitment and activation of tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs). By inhibiting CCR2, researchers aim to suppress tumor cell growth, metastasis, and immune evasion, thus enhancing the effectiveness of cancer immunotherapy.
Currently, drug development targeting CCR2 mainly focuses on CCR2 antagonists. Several companies are conducting clinical trials on CCR2 antagonists to evaluate their efficacy in treating inflammatory diseases and cancer. For example, companies such as AbbVie and Bristol-Myers Squibb are developing CCR2 antagonists for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, chronic inflammation caused by diabetes, and certain types of cancer. Additionally, the potential use of CCR2 antagonists in cardiovascular diseases, particularly in the treatment of atherosclerosis, has gained significant attention. With the continued study of CCR2 mechanisms, it is expected that more novel CCR2 antagonists will enter clinical trials, offering more effective treatment options, particularly in the fields of cancer immunotherapy and anti-inflammatory therapies.
To assist in the development of CCR2 targeted drugs, DIMA BIOTECH can now provide a series of spot products targeting CCR2, including CCR2 recombinant proteins, CCR2 full-length membrane proteins, anti-CCR2 monoclonal antibodies and biosimilar reference antibodies. At the same time, we can also provide systematic services, including protein/antibody customization services, antibody humanization, antibody affinity maturation, stable cell lines, etc. In addition, we have established a B cell seed bank targeting CCR2, which can screen out the lead antibody molecules required by customers in just 20 days.
